By accessing or using Knowledge Detective — including the free trial, any paid subscription, or any generated content — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Knowledge Detective is a web application that generates interactive, AI-powered deep-dive articles from curiosity phrases provided by users. Articles are produced using the Anthropic Claude API and delivered as interactive HTML within your personal library.
The service is available via subscription or a one-time verified free trial. Access requires a valid email address.
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. The following plans are available:

Unused article credits roll over each month and do not expire for the duration of your active subscription.
If you use all your credits before the end of your billing cycle, additional credit packs are available to purchase. Details are shown in the app.
You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next billing date with no penalty. You retain full access until the end of your current paid period.
One free deep-dive is available to new users upon email verification. The trial is limited to one article per email address. Trial articles are stored for 30 days and then deleted. No payment details are required for the trial.
Trial tokens expire 48 hours after issue if not verified, and 30 days after first use. Requesting a new trial with the same email address is not permitted.
We offer a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of your first payment and have generated fewer than two deep-dives. Beyond this window, refunds are considered at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that Stripe retains its processing fees on all refunded transactions — this is outside our control.

Deep-dives you generate belong to you. You may use, share, and reference them for personal and educational non-commercial purposes without restriction.
The Knowledge Detective platform, branding, design, and underlying systems remain the property of the service operator.
The Knowledge Guru unlimited tier is subject to fair personal use. Automated generation, API abuse, reselling, or systematic bulk creation is not permitted under any plan.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that are found to be in breach of fair use without notice. The vast majority of users will never encounter this limit.
Knowledge Detective uses AI to generate content. While we apply quality controls and the model draws on extensive training data, AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
Generated content must not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information independently from authoritative sources.
We are not liable for any decisions made on the basis of content generated by this service. The service is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
We aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The service depends on third-party infrastructure including Cloudflare, Stripe, and the Anthropic API — outages in any of these may affect availability.
Article generation currently takes up to 3 minutes on our infrastructure tier. We do not guarantee a specific generation time.
Your generated articles are stored in your library and remain accessible as long as your subscription is active, plus 30 days after cancellation.

We reserve the right to terminate access without refund for material breach of these terms.
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. We do not sell your data. Full details of what we collect, why, and how long we keep it are in our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Knowledge Detective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or decisions made based on generated content.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. We will endeavour to notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before significant changes take effect.
Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with updated terms, you may cancel your subscription without penalty within the notice period.
